Documentation of all activities performed must be maintained.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Provides direct clinical services within the scope of services allowed under the Code of Maryland and in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Hospital?s Medical Staff By-laws.2. Provides medication assessments/medication management to patients in the OMHC and PHEPs. Provides on-going treatment to patients.3. Provides psychiatric evaluations on new admissions in accordance with department guidelines.4. Maintains timely, complete documentation including progress notes per department standards.5. Diagnoses patients and prescribes medication as directed by the Medical Director ? 5th floor.6. Participates in discharge planning and completes discharge summaries.7. Provides consultation and liaison services in the Hospital.8. Maintains therapeutic boundaries during treatment and following discharge.9. Participates in patient care and treatment as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team.10. Participates in Hospital committees as assigned.11. Addresses patient medical issues within the scope of practice.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEMinimum Required Qualificationso Masters Degree in nursing with clinical specialty in psychiatry, oro Masters Degree in nursing specializing in medicine with accompanying psychiatric clinical specialist certificationo 5 years of nursing experience in a psychiatric settingo Certified Registered Nurse Practitionero Advanced knowledge of psychiatry and its progression; working knowledge of primary treatmento Basic computer operation literacyo Ability to interact tactfully and courteously with the publico Ability to maintain confidentiality of informationHR Use Only: J2WNUR
