Orders, maintains and monitors durable goods and equipment. Monitors supply inventory and establishes procedures for use and storage of resources. Plans, instructs, and evaluates educational activities for all on-site nursing programs. Assists as needed with centralized orientation, staff development, and continuing education programs for nursing personnel within the Nursing Institute. Develops and implements appropriate evaluation systems to determine the effectiveness of educational activities.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Knowledge, and SkillsBachelor?s Degree in Nursing. Current knowledge of nursing skills and equipment used in the professional practice of nursing. Demonstrated knowledge of media, equipment, and computer software. Must have PC experience including word processing, database and spreadsheets. Demonstrated knowledge of educational methodology such as needs assessment, curriculum development, instructional design and principles of adult learning. Demonstrated skills in communication and leadership. Ability to interface effectively with students, professional colleagues, physicians and other healthcare members. Presentation skills required.REQUIRED LENGTH AND TYPE OF EXPERIENCE:Two (2) years experience as a clinical nurse to include experience as an academic instructor or staff development educator. Evidence of teaching and leadership in the clinical area such as preceptor of BCLS or ACLS instructor.REQUIRED LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRY:Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of OhioREQUIRED PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:Requires manual finger dexterity with good eye-hand coordination; involves extensive standing, some walking and occasional lifting of items weighing in excess of 20 pounds.Category: Managerial/Professional/Physician
