This is an inpatient position and involves working with general medical and surgical patients. The successful applicant will provide clinical expertise on complex patient care issues to managers and staff; educate on new clinical processes or where deficits are identified; mentor new staff as needed; and occasionally lead Shared Governance Quality Improvement groups. We are looking for someone to help improve Nursing quality metrics and assist us in achieving Magnet Re-designation. The successful applicant must be somewhat self-directed, hold a current Ohio RN license, and possess a current Certificate of Authority from the Ohio Board of Nursing. No holiday or call required. There may be occasional weekend time needed. New graduates are welcome to apply.Summary:Manages the care of individuals and groups with health problems to provide services that promote, improve and manage health care within the nurses speciality and education.Job Responsibilities:* Facilitates nursing practice pattern changes based on clinical practice standards.* Assesses and cares for patients in the prevention or resolution of illness, with medical diagnosis and treatment of disease,injury and disability.* Serves as liaison to health care professionals within all levels of the organization.* Maintains high level of expertise through moral and ethical behavior.* May prescribe and monitor medication as permitted by the Ohio Board of Nursing and CCF Policy.* Other duties as assigned.Education:Master's Degree required. Mastery of principles from related science e.g.,behavioral and biological sciences.Experience:Two years clinical nursing experience required.Licensure/Certification/Registration:APN: Must be a Registered Nurse with current licensure by State of Ohio Board of Nursing; certified by a Certification Board recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
