DescriptionNurse Practitioner, Vascular SurgeryThe University of Maryland Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our busy and innovative team in our Vascular Surgery program. We seek a motivated individual to participate in rounding, establishing the daily plan of care and coordination of the in-patient OR plans, as well as coordination and timeliness of discharge planning and summaries. Development of long-term patient and family relationships is an important component of the treatment plan in this area. Clinical and educational collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is expected. Participation in resident education is also a part of this role. Continuing education in the subspecialty is encouraged and supported.The successful candidate will have completed a Nurse Practitioner program, with acute care NP certification. Maryland licensure, or eligibility is also required. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, and have a minimum of two (2) years experience in an acute surgical setting.
