Physical Therapy Assistant carries out a physical therapy program as prescribed by the physician and designed by the PT, supervises the rehab aide personnel (as delegated by PT), participates in student clinical affiliation program; assist with program development, develop and participate in performance improvement program. Seek to maintain professionalism and increase knowledge through continuing education and on-going self assessment. Job can be physically demanding at times requiring sitting/standing/walking for long periods of time and lifting patients and equipment. Employee needs to be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, and be capable of making sound decisions, be detail oriented, alert and self-motivated. AS degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program; Licensed in the State of Florida to Practice Physical Therapy Assistance; Certified in CPR-BLS.
