RN Stem Cell Transplant Coord/BMT Support/Ft/Day Job (Baltimore, MD, US)

DescriptionUnder general supervision, coordinates all administrative activities relative to the Adult Stem Cell Transplant Program within the Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center, including validating and appealing reimbursement coverage, coordinating pre-hospitalization testing and assuring thorough patient follow-up. Represents the Stem Cell Transplant Program to patients, families, referring physicians, hospital staff, and local, state and federal agencies and organizations.Current licensure in the State of Maryland as a Registered Nurse is required. A Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or equivalent is preferred.A minimum of two (2) years professional experience in an oncology/BMT treatment setting is preferred. Knowledge of chemotherapy, radiation therapy and their associated side effects are required.Case Management experience desired.Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and follow through on assignments and/or projects. Ability to analyze and conceptually develop ideas and proposals.Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams are required.
