Senior Staff Nurse (RGN) / Junior Sister

A fantastic opportunity for a Senior Staff Nurse to join a small yet busy hospital in Dartford, Kent.

The Hospital has 35 beds, two theatres and a high dependency unit. These facilities combined with the latest in technology and on-site support services, enable consultants to undertake a wide range of procedures from routine investigations to complex surgery.

Our client are the leading private hospital group in the UK. Due to rapid expansion they are seeking to recruit a Senior Nurse (RGN) with surgical experience in orthopaedics and/or gynaecology to take on a Senior Nurse/ Junior Sister post.

This is a full time post working 37.5 hours per week.

The successful applicant will be:

* A Registered Nurse with current NMC Registration
* Minimum of 3 years experience as a staff nurse in a surgical setting
*ENB 998, D32/33 desirable

Our client are looking for a Senior Nurse (RGN)/ Junior Sister to join the team taking responsibilty for junior members of the team and covering the management of the ward in the absence of the Sister.
You will work as part of a team and be responsible for:

*Providing all aspects of care to patients in the ward
*Assessing care needs and develop programmes of care
*Providing the highest standards of patient care, using evidence based practices
*Demonstrating procedures to other staff members, including learners as required.
*Accepting personal accountability for your own practices as a Registered Nurse and work at all times within the NMC Codes of Professional Conduct.
*Complying with all infection prevention and control policies and ensure an environment conducive to the continuing prevention and control of infection for all staff, patients and visitors

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced surgical nurse to join a private hospital where patients matter. It would also suit a Senior Nurse looking to take a gradual career progression into a Junior Sister role.
