Assists patients with ADL activities; functions independently with treatments, equipment and procedures appropriate to scope of practice. Communicates between care settings effectively. Under the direction of a licensed staff member assists with transfers to meet the needs of the patient. Reinforces education previously provided by licensed staff. Seeks professional growth. Manages time and unit resources in a manner that meets patient and departmental goals. Serves as surgical scrub tech for procedures on unit and sets up for vaginal deliveries; maintaining sterile technique. High School or GED equivalent and successful completion of a scrub tech certification course required. One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
