Travel Clinic Practise Nurse Prescriber

A great opportunity has arisen for a smart,commercially minded practice nurse to become part of this multi-disciplinary centre team responsible for providing a high quality, customer focused clinical service on this new client site. You’ll run a treatment service for minor injuries and medical conditions aswell as providing immunisations and travel health advice. You’ll have remote support from in house General Practitioners and where appropriate, liaise with them.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Run a treatment service for minor injuries and medical conditions as well as deliver travel health screening
• Deliver health promotion and health education to clients addressing key lifestyle issues i.e. stress, smoking, weight,
diet etc.
• Ensuring accurate and legible documentation of all care and advice given. The maintenance of confidential OH records
in a safe environment in accordance with DPA/NMG guidelines and in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Seek advice from senior OH Nurses and OH Physicians.
The position requires you to work a 5 day week in three centres London,Bromley and Croydon.
Internal transport is provided.




REQUIREMENTS

• Registered Nurse
• Post registration experience in Primary Care is essential i.e Practice Nurse
• Report writing skills.
• Basic I.T. skills
• Clinical skills; venepuncture, wound care, audiometry, spirometry, electrocardio-gram, eyesight testing,
travel vaccination and ear syringing are highly desirable
• Organisational awareness
• Good interpersonal skills/ communication skills at all level – written and verbal
